Birding Languedoc at North West Bird Watching Festival
Great news! Birding Languedoc will be exhibiting for the 3rd year in a row at the North West Bird Watching Festival…
Come and see us in the main hall – we will be in good company with an illustrious list of other exhibitors and you can find out all the details about tours and talks that are available during the festival by clicking here.
You can also attend a demo of the free Birdwatching Narbonnaise smartphone app in the Pond Room at 1pm on both Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th November 2018. Come along and find out how this very useful app can help you organise an independent birdwatching trip to the Narbonnaise with information about which birds you can see, when and where! The app also puts you in touch directly with birder friendly accommodation.
The NWBWF is held every November at the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust Martin Mere Wetlands Centre.
The NWBWF is held every November at the Wetland Centre at Martin Mere, near Ormskirk in Lancashire: a wonderful nature reserve with plenty to see and do. As you can read on the website: “… what makes Martin Mere truly world class are the many thousands of migrant wild ducks, geese, waders and swans which over-winter at this Ramsar-rated marshland. Especially the spectacular displays of feather and flight provided by huge migrant flocks of pink-footed geese, wigeon and whooper swans.” Check out the latest sightings.
So do come along for some great birding, to meet other North West birdwatchers and compare stories about your local patches. And don’t forget to come and see us at Birding Languedoc to find out more about bird watching in the south of France, we will be in the 2nd classroom!

Come and have a chat about joining one of our spring tours, (Gourmet birding, Birding and wine, Birding and butterflies…). Or ask us about organising a tailor-made tour for your bird watching group or natural history society. We can also help you with your DIY birding trips, with information about the best birdwatching spots in the Languedoc and where to stay.
Hope to see you next weekend at WWT Martin Mere!
