L’Embrésienne, Corbières – Aude
L’Embrésienne is a delightful group of six converted farm buildings around a courtyard, in a small rural Corbières village. Each building has been tastefully decorated to a different theme but all pay hommage to the winemaking history of the estate.
Each room has an ensuite or adjoining bathroom and whilst each building has its own colour scheme they all evoke the warm colours of the Mediterranean. This charming and comfortable accommodation is a real find and our hosts Brigitte and Gilles Robert will make you most welcome. Some of the Birding Languedoc trips are hosted here and you only have to walk a few yards to hear and see the birds typical of the “garrigue” in the upland Corbières – with a nesting pair of Golden eagles nearby and plenty of interesting summer visitors (Golden oriole, Hoopoe…) early morning walks will be well rewarded! And from March to September your evenings will be serenaded by the Scops owl in the large cedar trees in the garden.
